Housed in 5 x 5 mm QFN package, RF205x Series generates local oscillator signal range from 300 MHz to 2.4 GHz and operates over RF/IF range of 100 MHz to 2.5 GHz. Local oscillator, which consists of VCO and PLL, has adjustable loop bandwidth that is set by passive or active loop filter. On-chip op-amp eliminates need for external amplifier in active loop configurations. Mixer linearity is programmable up to +18 dBm, at which mixer, PLL, and VCO consume 72 mA from 3 V supply.
