VCO: CRO2457A-LF Features Ultra Low Phase Noise

Z-Communications, Inc. announces a new RoHS compliant VCO (Voltage Controlled Oscillator) model CRO2457A-LF. The CRO2457A-LF operates at 2457 to 2458 MHz with a tuning voltage range of 0.5 to 4.5 Vdc. This high performance VCO features a spectrally clean signal of -115 dBc/Hz @ 10 kHz offset and a typical tuning sensitivity of 8 MHz/V.

The CRO2457A-LF is designed to deliver +6 dBm of output power into a 50Ω load while operating off a 5 Vdc supply and drawing typically 24 mA of current. This low noise VCO operates over the industrial temperature range of -40 to 85°C and features typical second harmonic suppression of -18 dBc. The CRO2475A-LF has a pulling response of less than 1 MHz with a 12dB return loss, any phase, and is housed in Z-Comm's standard, MINI-16-SM package measuring 0.5 in. x 0.5 in. x 0.22 in. It is available in tape and reel packaging for production requirements making it ideal for automated surface mount assembly and reflow.

The CRO2457A-LF is well suited for backhaul radios and satellite communication applications that require low phase noise performance.
