Dec 27, 2006 Featuring 8 kW of power, TruDisk 8002 integrates cooling unit and beam switches and provides up to 6 fiber outputs standard. Modular laser can process nearly any material, including reflective materials such as copper and aluminum. It can weld 10 mm deep in construction steel with welding speed of 1 m/min or 3 mm deep at 20 m/min. Design does not exhibit any thermal lens effect, which makes beam source insensitive to adjustments.

Weld metal has tensile strength in 90,000 psi range and provides 15% elongation. Models WP-9 and WP-9V weigh 3 oz, are 7 in. long, and have ¾ in. handle diameter. Model WP-9P pencil torch has same lightweight body, but measures 6 in. long, does not utilize back cap, and has 180° head. All torches include quick-release tungsten adjustment. For TIG welding power sources that do not include gas solenoid, WP-9V has shielding gas valve located on handle.
