With 12.7 mm form factor, ThinkPadÃ-® CD-RW/DVD-ROM Combo Ultrabay(TM) Enhanced Drive can store up to 700 MB of data on one CD-R or CD-RW media and offers buffer underrun protection technology. Drive has 24x write time to CD-R and CD-RW media, while read times vary from 2x (DVD-RAM) to 24x (CD-RW) depending on media. It can also play back DVD movies and run or install DVD software.

Hard Disk Drive offers rotational speed of 4,200 rpm.
