Nov 16, 2007 By precisely applying coolant where it is needed, SHUR-THREAD GFI Series helps eliminates waste for any size machine shop or production volume. Micro-grain carbide and TiCN-coated products are engineered with multiple spiral flutes to eliminate chatter, and extended milling portion allows for up to 2xD length-of-cut. While enlarged flute space promotes efficient chip evacuation, end mill-type shank with clamping flat allows for secure tool holding.

Nov 14, 2007 Constructed with steel body and carbide inserts, Model TM25 Thread Mills feature long-edge inserts and have 2 cutting edges per insert. Thread mills are available for parallel and tapered threadmilling applications in pitches from 1-2 mm ISO Unified, 11-10 Whitworth, 11.5-14 NPT, and 11-14 BSPT. Suitable for internal and external threading on most workpiece materials, they are designed for use in general engineering, automotive, and aerospace applications.

Sep 18, 2007 Miniature Solid Carbide Thread Mills are designed for machining materials such as stainless steels, titanium, K-monel, hastelloy, and inconel. Available in 1- and 3-flute versions, with latter suited for high-volume output needs, design eliminates possibility and consequences of tap breakage. There is no need for hand tapping during full bottom threading applications, and bottom threading can be performed to within 1 pitch. Thread length varies from 0.125-0.328 in.

Oct 27, 2006 Available in inch and metric sizes, EXOCARB® Thread Mills are made of sub-micrograin carbide. Multi-layered TiAlN coating promotes tool life and heat resistance, while high-helix construction promotes chip control. With one thread mill, users can produce varying thread diameters of same pitch; right/left-hand threads; or internal/external threads. Also used for blind or through-hole applications, tools work with materials such as Inconel, Titanium, and High Nickel Content Alloys.

Thread Milling Tool has long-reach design.

Scientific Cutting Tools    Simi Valley, CA 93063
Oct 03, 2006 Manufactured from micro-grain solid carbide substrate, TMLR (long reach thread mill) has fine ground cutting edge and TiALN coating that promote tool life and optimal surface finish quality. Helical design allows tools to be free cutting, and internal threads from 2-56 up to ½-20 let users thread mill small holes. Design also enables threads with 2 and 3 times diameter to be successfully thread milled in demanding materials.

Aug 24, 2006 Suited for use in petroleum and natural gas industries, thread mills and insert mills produce threads that achieve tight, leak-free joints in pipe. While spiral-fluted thread mills produce NPT/API thread diameters from 1/16-2 in., indexable partial profile insert thread mills cut NPT/API thread diameters from 1-20 in. Solid thread mills feature micro-grain carbide construction and free-cutting geometry. Each indexable insert has 4 usable cutting edges.

Jan 18, 2005 Featuring micro-grain carbide and TiCN coating, SHUR-THREAD Solid Carbide Thread Mills are engineered with multiple spiral flutes to eliminate chatter. Enlarged flute space provides efficient chip evacuation and end mill-type shank with clamping flat allows for secure tool holding. Cutters produce threads for applications 1 in. and under in range of soft and pre-hardened steels to 58 Rc, stainless steels, aluminum, cast iron, titanium, and Inconel.
