Jul 02, 2003 Centerfire® contact tips drop in gas diffuser and are locked in place by tightening nozzle. They do not require tools to change, and, when coupled with correct nozzle, stay fixed either flush with end of nozzle, at 1/8 in. recess, or 1/4 in. recess. Large diameter bases and tapered seats increase electrical conductivity and heat transfer. Hand tightened nozzles come with built in spatter shields that protect gas diffusers and facilitate smooth gas flow.
