Welding Consumables reduce down time in MIG applications.

Press Release Summary:

Centerfire® contact tips drop in gas diffuser and are locked in place by tightening nozzle. They do not require tools to change, and, when coupled with correct nozzle, stay fixed either flush with end of nozzle, at 1/8 in. recess, or 1/4 in. recess. Large diameter bases and tapered seats increase electrical conductivity and heat transfer. Hand tightened nozzles come with built in spatter shields that protect gas diffusers and facilitate smooth gas flow.

New Centerfire(TM) Series MG Welding Consumables from Bernard® Deliver Superior Performance and Reduced Down Time

Beecher, IL, June 1, 2003 - Bernard®, part of Illinois Tool Works (NYSE:ITW) Premium Welding Components, has introduced its new patent pending Centerfire(TM) series of MIG welding consumables. The revolutionary design of Centerfire(TM) series gas diffusers, contact tips and nozzles brings superior performance and reduced down time to most MIG welding applications.

Centerfire(TM) series contact tips "Drop-In" the gas diffuser and are locked in place by tightening the nozzle. These "Drop-In" contact tips without threads do not require tools to change, are quicker to replace after burn back and, when coupled with the correct nozzle, stay fixed either flush with the end of the nozzle, at 1/8" recess or 1/4" recess. Their large diameter tip bases and tapered seats increase electrical conductivity and heat transfer.

Hand tightened Centerfire(TM) series nozzles come with built in spatter shields that protect the gas diffusers and facilitate smoother, less turbulent gas flow. The solid, concentric relationship between Centerfire(TM) contact tips and nozzles keep the tips centered and fixed at desired recess even after hard use or abuse.
