New TurboTorch Extreme Tips Kick It Up A Notch

Reduces Brazing Time by 40%
St. Louis - February 15, 2002 - There's a new torch tip in town and it's hotter and faster than any other for HVAC/R and plumbing applications. TurboTorch(R) Extreme(R) Tips reduce brazing time by as much as 40%.

At the heart of Extreme Tip performance is a patent-pending rotor that generates a hotter swirl. Extreme Tips are designed for use with air/acetylene. TurboTorch design engineers utilized advanced thermal imaging technology to guide the design process and confirm swirl heat characteristics.

Greg Mitchell, TurboTorch regional sales manager, reports that Extreme Tip adoption has major efficiency implications for the HVAC/R and plumbing industries, particularly in environments where high-volume brazing is involved. "Professional operators are going to find that they can do a lot more work in the same amount of time with an Extreme Tip," says Mitchell. "That means greater efficiency for the operator, resulting in lowered labor costs. Field testing showed that operators immediately noticed the significantly less 'wait times' in joint brazing with Extreme Tips."

Performance characteristics of Extreme Tips are beneficial to a complete cross-section of operators, ranging from professional high-volume OEM and maintenance/repair shop operators to the do-it-yourself hobbyist. Regardless of skill level, operators quickly adapt to the faster/hotter characteristics of Extreme Tips.

TurboTorch is a division of Thermadyne Holdings, a global welding and cutting products company with headquarters in St. Louis, Mo.
