Jun 20, 2007 Via thermodynamic process, Acoustiblok® transforms sound energy into trace elements of heat to reduce sound transmission in buildings. Solution is made of 1/8 in. thick viscoelastic polymer material with high-density mineral content, and one layer reduces sound transmission by up to 30 dB. Containing no lead or asbestos, product is UV-resistant; impervious to water and mold; and UL fire rated. Solution cuts with utility knife and can be used in wall, floor, and ceiling installations.

Mufflers provide noise reduction up to 35 dBA.

EXAIR Corporation
Cincinnati, OH 45249-1621
Jun 15, 2007 Available in 1/8-1 in. NPT sizes, Reclassifying Mufflers help companies meet EU noise directive (86/188/EEC) and OSHA standard 29 CFR-1910.95 for safe noise levels below 90 dBA. They can be installed directly into exhaust port of cylinders, valves, and other air powered equipment to reduce work area noise and harmful oil mist. Wrap design of removable element removes oil mist contamination of worker's breathing air, keeping exposure below 4.32 ppm.

Acoustic Interlayer offers drop-in NVH solution.

Solutia, Inc.
Saint Louis, MO 63166
Jun 11, 2007 Available in several offerings, including Clear and Gradient Automotive with 32-gauge thickness and 30-gauge unit for side laminates, Saflex® Q series acoustic interlayer enables users to produce laminated, noise-resistant glass. Lightweight unit does not require retooling, and can be used in any vehicle glazing position, including windscreen, sidelites, backlites, and roofs. Addressing noise transmission through vehicle's glass, unit reduces noise by up to 6 dB.

Software eliminates background noise in IP PBX systems.

Octasic Inc.
Quebec H1Y 3L1  Canada
Jun 05, 2007 Added to SoftEcho Echo Cancellation software, Adaptive Noise Reduction optimizes sound quality on Asterisk®-based IP PBX systems, eliminating most noise heard on phone call, specifically when in loud environment. Reduction in background noise also benefits conferencing applications where multiple callers are on line.

Sound Dampener limits inter-room noise transmission.

Illbruck Acoustic Inc.
Minneapolis, MN 55412
