Auralex Displayed in Guitar Gallery Showroom

Auralex Provides Total Sound Solution and Aesthetic Décor at High-End Boutique Store

NASHVILLE, TN - Auralex® Acoustics, Inc., the industry leader in innovative sound control solutions, helped the Guitar Gallery showroom in Nashville, TN look more appealing and sound better thanks to the installation of several of its acoustics treatment products. The Guitar Gallery installed Auralex's SonicPrint(TM) artistic acoustic panels, its ELiTE(TM) B22 ProPanels(TM), ELiTE(TM) B24 ProPanels(TM) and SonoSuede(TM) Pro trapezoid panels, throughout the space.

Guitar Gallery is an appointment-only, boutique acoustic guitar shop run by Robin Weber. "When we moved into our new location, although we love the wooden floors and high ceilings, we found the rooms to be just a little too live," says Weber. "We turned to Auralex for some advice on how to fine-tune the sonic quality of our gallery. The Auralex panels were super easy to install and very classy looking, something that was very important to us in keeping with our high-end inventory. They provide just the right amount of sound-dampening needed."

The SonicPrint panels seamlessly combine Auralex's acoustically proven technology with unlimited design and style options for any room, creating the ultimate blend of aesthetics and sonic performance. Users can choose from the Auralex gallery of art prints, created by some of the most innovative artists in the world, or submit their own art for a look that's truly one-of-a-kind. The custom SonicPrint Panel provided the final personal touch to the Guitar Gallery showroom.

Four decorative ELiTE B24 ProPanels fabric-wrapped Class A absorptive fiberglass panels provide sound absorption on the bottom level of the showroom, while three ELiTE B22 ProPanels were installed on the top level of the space. Four SonoSuede Pro trapezoid panels were installed on the left and right side of the stairway. The synthetic suede, fabric-covered panels and unique mounting blocks helped Guitar Gallery get the most out of their treatment by spacing the panels off the walls.

A layer of Auralex SheetBlok(TM) Sound Isolation Barrier was adhered to the back side of the showroom door. It is about 6dB more effective than solid lead at stopping the transmission of sound. Weather stripping applied around the new, dense, solid-core door and to every side of the door, especially on the bottom, ensures a tight seal when closed.

Weber is more than just the proprietor of a guitar shop; she is also a compassionate citizen. Out of Guitar Gallery she runs Guitars4Troops, a charity that donates guitars to American troops overseas. The charity began in a simple way. "We received a request for a donated guitar from a soldier deployed in Afghanistan in 2009," adds Weber. "What started as sending one guitar overseas grew into a much larger effort. The goal is to send as many guitars and other stringed instruments to our troops deployed overseas as possible to boost their morale and give them a taste of normalcy while they are surrounded by the mundane horrors of war." Guitars need to be playable and hold a tune. For more information, visit: www.Guitar4Troops.com.
