Type KD1405 pure diamond cutting tool material can increase tool life 100-200% relative to conventional PCD tooling on continuous to lightly interrupted turning, finishing, and semi-finishing milling applications. Material is produced using chemical vapor deposition applied by plasma torch method, providing pure diamond microstructure that is tough enough to withstand milling operations. KD1405 is suitable for cutting highly abrasive, non-ferrous materials.

MDT(TM) Threading Inserts, available in CP500 grade, feature 55° whitworth threads, and partial profiles of 60° for UN and ISO threads. They can produce right- and left-handed threads both toward and away from chuck. Grooving inserts include CP500 grade, and in 13 mm style, are suited for small bore and face machining. Grade TK150 works with cast irons and hardened steel. MDT system uses single toolholder and insert for turning, profiling, and grooving in axial and radial directions.
