SignalFire Introduces HART-to-Wireless Adapter for HART Connectivity with Asset Management Software

Marlborough, MA –July 18, 2019… SignalFire Wireless Telemetry introduces the Link Scout that wirelessly adapts to loop-powered 4-20mA HART® instruments for HART connectivity with asset management software like PACTWARE and FieldCare.  By tunneling HART traffic over SignalFire’s proven 900MHz platform, the Link Scout allows maintenance personnel to configure, calibrate and troubleshoot assets equipped with a HART-enabled instrument using DTM software.

Also, the Link Scout can get additional measured variables into a control system. The SignalFire Gateway receiving the data from the HART field instrument is easily integrated into a control system using the receiving Gateway’s built-in Modbus or available 4-20mA outputs.

The HART-to-Wireless Adaptor doesn’t interfere with the operations of loop-powered devices as it is independently powered by a battery and wired in parallel with the existing signal.  It will poll the HART instrument for its dynamic variable and alarm status then transit output to the SignalFire Gateway as Modbus registers HART PV, SV, TV, QV & HART diagnostic flag.  Designed for Class 1 Division 1 (C1D1) hazardous areas, the Link Scout can be installed on a live instrument while in service and retrofit during normal plant operations.
