OKW's SOFT-CASE Enclosures are Now Available in ABS and Infrared PMMA
OKW’s SOFT-CASE handheld enclosures combine a wide format with ergonomic comfort
OKW’s wide format SOFT-CASE handheld enclosures are now also available molded in infrared-permeable PMMA plastic as standard for remote control technology.
Other applications include measurement and control, communications, medical devices and laboratory equipment, peripherals and interfaces.
Ergonomic SOFT-CASE combines a large recessed interface area for big displays and membrane keypads with a soft-contoured design for maximum user comfort.
Although principally a handheld enclosure, SOFT-CASE can also be specified for desktop and wall mounted electronics.
A raised connector mounting panel on the wide edge enables SOFT-CASE to accommodate more connections.
SOFT-CASE is available in three sizes (from 4.02” x 2.56” x 0.75” to 5.91” x 3.62” x 1.10”) with battery compartments (2 x AAA, 2 x AA, 4 x AA, 1 x 9V). The clip-on lid of the battery compartment can also be screw fixed.
SOFT-CASE can also be specified without a battery compartment – in four sizes ranging from 3.23” x 2.01” x 0.55” to 5.91” x 3.62” x 1.10”.
All the cases are can be specified as standard in Off White (RAL 9002) or Lava Gray ABS (UL 94 HB); in Off White carbon-neutral biodegradable bioplastic or in Black (RAL 9005) infrared-permeable PMMA.
Accessories include intermediate rings to increase the height of the enclosures. They are available as standard in matt chromed ABS (UL 94 HB); Off White (RAL 9002) ABS; Lava Gray ABS; Volcano Gray soft touch SEBS/TPE; Off White bioplastic and Black (RAL 9005) PMMA.
Other accessories include a Combi-Clip (combined belt clip/wall suspension element), tilt foot bar for ergonomic canting in desktop use, ring eyelet, carrying strap, handstrap and strap eyelet.
Prices for SOFT-CASE start at $11. Customizing options include CNC milling and drilling; custom colors; special finishes (such as lacquering and water transfer printing); special materials (such as carbon neutral bioplastic); digital, silk-screen and tampo printing of legends and logos; RFI/EMI shielding and assembly of components.
