New Vertical Vise for Wire EDM
HIRSCHMANN Engineering USA, Inc., Buffalo Grove, Illinois announces the availability of a newly designed vertical vise, Model Number H4537 for use with their popular Fixturing System 4000. This new product provides quick and positive clamping of one or two independent work pieces in the same set-up with twice the holding strength of other similar devises.
Two separate clamping jaws are incorporated in the H4537 vise that requires only the turning of a central screw for tightening. No supporting spacers or jackscrews are needed as with "Toe-clamp" type devices. The clamping jaws were designed for minimal obstruction above the top of the workpiece.
The clamping jaws have two workpiece height ranges, 0 - 21mm (.826") and 21 - 41mm (1.615"). The latter clamping height is achieved by simply removing the clamping jaws and re-inserting them up side down (180°). Also available are optional height extending clamping jaws H4537-E, that increase that clamping range from 41 to 61mm (2.4").
Removable positive side stops are standard on both sides of the vise for quick alignment of repetitive workpieces. The H4537 mounts directly to all of the pallets in the HIRCHMANN 4000 system. It also incorporates a removable spacer so the bottom of the workpiece can be aligned at the "Zero" line or 6mm above it to avoid nozzle interference by the lower support plate.
