Servo Controller/Driver suits NEMA 17 and 23 step motors.

Press Release Summary:

SilverDust module is used with encoder and 2-phase microstep step motor to create 4-quadrant servo system. Housed in 2.5 x 3.0 x 1.5 in. package, it achieves 3.5 A continuous and 4.5 A peak per phase at 12-48 Vdc and provides RS232/RS485 serial port. Features include 7 digital I/O lines, 4 analog inputs, and motion profile library for motion trajectories, including linear and S curve acceleration and deceleration, velocity mode, torque mode, step, and direction.

Original Press Release:

New Servo Controller/Driver Module

QuickSilver Controls of San Dimas, CA has developed the SilverDust; a new servo controller and driver module for NEMA 17 and 23 step motors. This compact controller and driver package is used with a high resolution encoder and 2 phase microstep step motor to create a precision 4 quadrant servo system.

The SilverDust controller and driver module achieves 3.5 amps continuous and 4.5 amps peak per phase at 12 to 48 vdc from a compact package measuring 2.5" wide x 3.0" long x 1.5" high. A RS232/RS485 serial port is used for host communications and to program the SilverDust servo controller.

7 digital I/O lines and 4 analog inputs are available. A motion profile library is provided for simple and complex motion trajectories, including linear and S curve acceleration and deceleration, velocity mode, torque mode, step and direction, and others.
