Power Entry Modules have current ratings from 1-10 A/250 V.

Press Release Summary:

Series DC11 and DC12 combine AC inlet, with optional EMC filter, and rocker style switch recessed in unit to prevent accidental actuation. In-rush rating is 100 A for 3-4 msec, 5 A continuous, and lifetime is rated for 50,000 cycles at 10 A/250 V. Offered for 1- or 2-pole switching, unlighted or lighted units snap-in or screw-on for mounting. Low band pass filter is optimized to attenuate noise less than 1 MHz in common and differential modes.

Next Generation of Compact Power Entry Modules

New Power Entry Modules Are Smaller with Higher Power Density

Schurter has added its next generation Power Entry Modules, series DC11 and DC12, to their existing product line. The unit combines an AC inlet, with optional EMC filter, and a sleek rocker style switch recessed in the unit to prevent accidental actuation. The new series touts the smallest of its kind, saving valuable space in front and behind the panel, and higher power density and reliability over existing products on the market.

The in-rush rating of the switch is 100 Amps for 3-4 milliseconds, 5 Amps continuous. Lifetime is rated for 50,000 cycles at 10 Amps/250 Volts. It is available for 1- or 2-pole switching, unlighted or lighted. Units snap-in or screw-on mount and come pre-wired between the inlet and switch for added ease of installation. Screw mount types can be affixed to the front or rear of the chassis. The snap-in version is available for varying panel thicknesses.

The low band pass filter is optimized to attenuate noise <1MHz in both common and differential modes. Performance above 1MHz is also optimized by approximately 10dB attenuation. An excellent path to ground is achieved through the case design, which connects the ground terminal directly to the chassis. Current ratings range from 1-10 Amps/250 Volts.

Applications include telecommunication, office, household, medical equipment, industrial applications and information technology equipment. They are suitable for use in equipment complying with standards IEC 60950 for Information Technology and IEC 60601 for Electro-medical devices. The DC11 is cUL recognized and ENEC approved. The DC12 is pending approvals. With cost effective price to performance, the DC11/DC12 starts at under $4.60 for 100 piece quantities. Delivery is 4-6 weeks.
