Needle-Bonding Adhesives increased throughput via cure speed.

Press Release Summary:

With typical cure time of 2.5 sec or less, 1400 Series LED-curable needle bonders increase production speed and throughput while promoting quality control with aid of fluorescing technology. Adhesives cure with 385 or 405 nm wavelengths, allowing design flexibility within automation process, and are available in 15 L pails. Products pass ISO 10993-5 Cytotoxicity testing and support short-term (<29 days) implantation or single-use disposable device applications.

Original Press Release:

New Needle-Bonding Adhesives Cure Fast for Increased Throughput

A new family of LED-curable needle-bonding adhesives from Dymax Corporation has been formulated to cure at speeds typically associated with today’s best automation equipment and line speeds.  Typical cure time for the 1400 series is 2.5 seconds or less, allowing for increased production speed and throughput, lower processing costs, and increased quality control with the aid of our patented fluorescing technology.  These products have been specially engineered to cure with either 385 or 405 nm wavelengths, allowing for greater design flexibility within the automation process.

1400 Series needle bonders are available in 15-liter pails to minimize equipment downtime and material changeovers.  They’ve passed ISO 10993-5 Cytotoxicity testing and support short-term (<29 days) implantation or single-use disposable device applications.  Dymax MD® Medical Device Adhesives contain no nonreactive solvents, and are compatible with gamma, EtO, and E-Beam sterilization.
