Biodegradable Corrosion Protection For Offshore, HRSG, HVAC Equipment, Pipe Systems and Tanks
Cortec® VpCI®-609 provides environmentally acceptable and biodegradable corrosion protection for the interior of HRSG and HVAC equipment, piping and tanks. The product features 100% biodegradability and a "0" bio-accumulation potential making it especially suitable for marine and offshore applications. As a part of Cortec's Advanced Green Technology, VpCI®-609 can replace more hazardous and aggressive treatments with a bio-friendly formulation that in many instances costs less and provides superior protection.
Treatment with Cortec® VpCI®-609 provides up to 24 months of continuous corrosion protection for the interior of ferrous and non-ferrous equipment. Systems can be treated through wet application by simply recirculating liquid with VpCIk-609 or through dry application by fogging with VpCI®-609 powder. Both the wet and dry methods provide very economical and low labor costs that are especially advantageous for large systems with extensive piping, lines, cavities, and tanks.
Because treatment with VpCI®-609 provides liquid, vapor-phase, and interface protection (above the liquid level), it is ideal for protecting partially closed or sealed systems with hard to reach surfaces, recessed areas and overhead cavities. This unique ability offers complete protection for HVAC, HRSG systems and the internal surfaces of heat exchangers, compressors, pumps, turbines, boilers, and condensate lines. Cortec® VpCI®-609 can be used for Military Application for MIL-I-22110C.
Little or no surface preparation is required before application. After treatment, VpCI® protection does not need to be removed before further processing or use. In cases where wet treatment was made to a "clean" system, the solution can simply be drained. as it is 100% biodegradable, has a neutral pH, and does not contain nitrites, phosphates, heavy metals or other hazardous ingredients.
