Pittsford, New York. WebIO(TM) is a new system for Ethernet data-gathering. WebIO(TM) consists of a series of easy-to-use control modules that connect via RS485 to a central controller,
which uploads data to company intranet/internet servers to give remote viewing access to status information, company-wide or even world-wide. Up to 256 DINrail-mounted modules for analog or digital I/O can connect to BIT2000 - a central industrial PC/PLC/webserver module that communicates over a 10baseT network. BIT2000 transmits web pages that display data gathered, but it can also function as a DOS PC or as a PLC in addition.
The WebIO(TM) series makes it easy to construct small control systems and information stations that communicate through Intranet/Internet. BIT2000 is the ideal solution when it comes to process control, surveillance of buildings, data logging, alarm systems and a host of other industrial applications. BIT2000 can communicate with many types of equipment through a fast multidrop RS485-based bus or a standard RS232 serial port. Up to 256 I/O modules can be used in a system - each one having its own unique address automatically allocated by the host PC software (no DIP-switch settings needed).

The HTTP Webserver transmits HTML-pages to a standard Web Browser over the Intranet/Internet and thus presents real-time information to any user.
Peripheral modules in the WebIO(TM) range include: BIT2041 - a 4-line Universal I/O module (24VDC/0.5A Solid State Relay output or 24VDC digital input) with 32-bit counter; BIT2047 - a 0 - 10VDC 10-bit analog output module with 2 digital inputs; BIT2068 - a 2-channel analog input module (0-10VDC or 0-20mADC).
