Maag Pump Systems Has Received a Large Order for Pumps and Screen Changers

Oberglatt/Grossostheim, The customer decision to rely on Maag was primarily based on Maag's gear pump technology and long history of supplying high quality, reliable, and durable solutions for the most demanding pumping applications for the plastics industry. This high output gear pump developed by Maag Pump Systems allows the customer to reliably operate the PET plant at capacities of 800 tons per day.

In addition to the gear pump, Maag has also supplied four dual piston screen changers, allowing superior filtration of the polymer, combined with compact construction, minimizing floor space. These units allow for simple and safe operation, while providing more filtration area than competitive products. Additionally, the customer is able to assure maximum performance, due to Maag's Global service network, with locations in more than 12 countries.

This represents the third order for pumps and screen changers that Maag has provided for increasingly larger scale PET plants. As Ueli Thuerig, CEO of Maag Pumps systems comments, "This is another example of Maag's extension of its leadership position with large scale polymer production plants".

Maag Pump Systems and Automatik Plastics Machinery have recently merged and the combined group is comprised of more than 500 employees located around the world. The new group can now provide single source engineered systems, including Gear Pumps, Screen Changers, Large Area Filtration Systems, Heat Exchangers, Static Mixers, Dies, and Pelletizers, including integrated control systems, and transition piping. The combined group operates production facilities in Switzerland, Germany, Italy, the United States, and the Peoples Republic of China, with service support available on a Global basis
