Induction Hardened Rack Gears combine precision, strength.

February 27, 2012

Designed for use in pinion (spur gear) mechanisms, Induction Hardened Rack Gears feature 1045 Carbon Steel construction and create linear actuator that converts rotational motion of pinion into linear motion. RGEAH (Ground) gears offer no hole, bottom tapped, side tapped, or side counterboard tapped hole machining options, while RGEAHL (Ground, Hole Position Configurable) gears offer user-configurable hole machining with bottom, side, or side counterboard tapped options. Precision Spur Gears come in Delrin and Peek materials.

January 26, 2011

Delrin® POM (white) and Peek(TM) Gf30® (light brown) precision spur gears start at 0.5 Module and go up to 3.0 as standard, and numbers of teeth start range from 18-250 depending on module size. Different bore sizes, tapped holes, keyways, and pin holes can be added upon request. While chemical-resistant Peek Gf30 exhibits tensile and impact strength for keeping its shape, Delrin plastic exhibits optimal fatigue life, moisture sensitivity, and resistance to solvents and chemicals.
