Housed in IP69K rated, E-coated aluminum housing for corrosion resistance, Electrak® Throttle Actuators are available in 2 dynamic/static load performance ranges of 10/20 lbf or 30/60 lbf max, with corresponding no load/full load speed performance of 3.7/3.3 ips or 1.9/1.5 ips, respectively. Units offer choice of 12 or 24 Vdc supply voltage, flying leads or connector installation, and straight or right angle cable exit. All provide 50% duty cycle at max load and operate from -40 to 185°F.

Providing electronic shift and throttle, EVC-D Electronic Vessel Control System features push-button panel where driver can select cruise control, single-lever mode, low-speed mode, power trim assistant, and throttle only. Controls are for all Volvo Penta propulsion systems, including IPS, sterndrive, and inboard shaft. With single-lever mode activated, all engines are handled with one lever and engines' rpm is automatically synchronized, minimizing both vibration and noise.

Electronic module processes engine speed information and sends appropriate signals to stepper motor on carburetor throttle shaft. Unit dictates movement of throttle with steps as small as 0.2°. It eliminates droop experienced while engine is under load, and can automatically adjust spark timing. Governor features precise cut-in and idle stability feedback.
