July 12, 2012 - Formulated using high-purity silver powders and inorganic binder system, Pyro-Duct(TM) 597-A is used to produce electronic and high vacuum components. Electrically and thermally conductive adhesive exhibits volume resistivity of 0.0002 W-cm at room temperature. Tensile shear strength is 450 psi. Packaged in 50 g jars, single component, water-dispersible system contains no organic resins or solvents. It sets at room temperature in 1-2 hr and heat cures in 1-2 hr at 200F.

SUMMARY

Pyro-Duct(TM) 597-A, a new silver-filled, high temperature, electrically and thermally conductive adhesive developed by Aremco Products, Inc., is now used to produce electronic and high vacuum components for applications to 1700F (927C).

FEATURES

Pyro-Duct(TM) 597-A is an advanced high temperature compound formulated using high purity
silver powders combined with a proprietary inorganic binder system. All constituents are electrically and thermally conductive and the electrical resistivity is dramatically better than conventional epoxy-based conductive adhesives that are based on non-conductive epoxy resins.

Pyro-Duct(TM) 597-A exhibits a volume resistivity of 0.0002 ohm-cm at room temperature which is a ten-fold improvement over conductive epoxy. The tensile shear strength is 450 psi.

Pyro-Duct(TM) 597-A is a single component, water-dispersible system that contains no organic resins or solvents. It sets at room temperature in 1-2 hours and heat cures in 1-2 hours at 200F.

In the uncured state, Pyro-Duct(TM) is easily cleaned using warm water and soap.
Typical applications for Pyro-Duct(TM) 597-A include sensors used in high vacuum systems,
mounting single crystalline wafers for electroscopic analysis, high temperature connectors, specialty lighting, and semiconductor components.

I just wish to know
1. what is thermal conductivity of this product?
2. After curing the product, what is the continous (several hours per run) working period under temperatures up to 500 oC?
3. what is the recommended thickness to form it on surfaces of metals or semiconductors?
4. does it make ohmic or non-ohmic contacts to metals or semi- conductors/insulators (InP, Se, PbI2, BiI3, SnS, ZnS, etc.) at low/high working tempertures?
5. How one can take it out after deciding to clean the sample from all its traces without damaging or cotaminating the surfaces of the sample?
6. Price of 50-grams jar?
7. recommended storage at room temperature and lower/higher temperatures
8. I may need this product to make electricall and thermally conducting electrodes on semiconductors at low (77 K) and high (up to ~ 673K) to make electrical and dielectric measurements.
9. Does it creep, sream out to edges of sample (especially at high temperatures), so surface leakage might take place?
