Ceramic Cement may be used in temperatures over 1000°F.
January 9, 2007 -
Suited for use in electronic devices, Grade C-3 single-component, polysilicate-based cement acts as electrical insulator and bonds to any clean wettable surface. Chemical-setting, inorganic cement exhibits dimensional stability, allowing less than 1% shrinkage at temperatures up to 1,093°C. Resistant to thermal shock, asbestos-free product is stable in hostile gaseous environments and will not produce any toxic fumes or off-gases when bonding ceramics, metals, quartz, or glass.

Ceramic Cement Useful to Over 1000°
Dylon Industries Inc. has developed a high strength, chemical-setting, inorganic cement for use in a wide variety of electronic devices. Grade C-3 is a single component polysilicate based cement that produces an extremely high strength bond to any clean wettable surface. It provides superior dimensonal stability allowing less than 1% shrinkage-even at temperatures of 1093°C.
Grade C-3 is an excellent electrical insulator and is highly resistant to thermal shock. It sets rapidly and is extremely stable in hostile gaseous environments Properly made joints using Grade C-3 are often stronger than the substrates. Grade C-3 resists water, oils, solvents and acids; is asbestos free and produces no toxic fumes or off-gasses.
Dylon Grade C-3 can be used to bond ceramics, metals, quartz and glass. It can be used for embedding resistance wires, sealing capacitors, insulating thermocouples, coating resistors, and numerous other applications that require a deep potting compound or sealant. Dylon Grade C-3 replaces insulation. varnishes, enamel, mica, and resins for high heat protection. It is more economical than silicones and organic materials
Dylon Grade C-3 may be syringed, brushed, poured, troweled or dipped according to the required operation. Grade C-3 comes conveniently packaged in 3 lb. cans, 10 lb. pails, 50 lb. pails and 500 lb. drums
