Optimized for interrupted cuts in case hardened steel, CB7025 is made of fine grain CBN, which controls wear and mechanically interlocks insert corners to provide strengh. Properties enable high machining speeds, as well as ability to finish components in one pass while retaining surface quality. CB7025 comes in 2 radius wiper geometries and wide range of positive inserts.

Sandvik Coromant's New CB7025 Offers High Performance in Hard Part Turning
Fair Lawn, New Jersey, April 11, 2007 - Sandvik Coromant is broadening its variety of hard part turning inserts with CB7025, a strong grade optimized for interrupted cuts in case hardened steel.
The key to CB7025's elevated performance lies in the fine grain CBN, which controls wear and mechanically interlocks insert corners to provide strength and security superior to standard insert edge designs. These unique properties enable higher machining speeds, as well as the ability to finish components in one pass while retaining surface quality.
Sandvik Coromant's CB7025 is available in a wide range of positive inserts and comes in two patented, radius wiper geometries. The grade's -WH geometry provides high surface quality with reduced cutting forces, while its -WG geometry offers the best preparation for finishing cuts while running at high feed rates.
