OKW's new range of 'MINITEC' miniature enclosures now includes wrist strap models. These highly attractive cases have been designed for small electronic devices that can be worn on the wrist, for example personal security devices, exposure detection units, emergency call buttons, medical devices and remote control units.
The new models form part of an extensive line of over 120 'MINITEC' enclosures which offer a huge range of sizes, styles and color combinations.
The wrist strap models are available in two standard sizes: 2.04" x 1.26" x 0.59" and 2.67" x 1.69" x 0.70". Each case consists of a top part, bottom part and a soft intermediate ring. The top and base parts are molded in off-white or lava gray ABS, or black infra-red transparent PMMA (UL 94 HB). The intermediate rings are molded in soft touch TPE in four standard colors: volcano gray, orange, lime green and bright blue.
The intermediate rings have lateral strap loops which are used to fit the accessory wrist strap. The 11" long wrist strap is made from elastic nylon, and is secured on the wrist with Velcro.
The cases are offered with a recessed top part, which is designed for locating a membrane keypad or product label, or a smooth top part for fitting rubber keypads etc. Location bosses are molded in the base parts for mounting PCBs and components, and the cases are assembled using a single self-tapping fixing screw. Prices start at under $8.
OKW can supply the 'MINITEC' enclosures with additional holes for the keypads or connectors, plus silk-screen printed legends and logos, and EMI/RFI shielding.
