New Airstrip 2700 Wire Stripper From Eubanks Provides 20 Percent More Stripping Power
MONROVIA, Calif., Dec. 10, 2001 -To meet current needs for stripping tougher and harder-to-cut wire insulation in high-volume applications, Eubanks Engineering Co. today announced the AirStrip 2700 wire stripping machine.
"The AirStrip 2700 is geared for wire harness manufacturers who demand high productivity under tough operating conditions," according to Phil McNamee, Eubank's manager of engineering.
"We've increased air flow 20 percent to give the AirStrip 2700 significantly more stripping power. Plus we've improved the human-engineering features to make operation easier and set up faster for short-run operations," he added.
The versatile AirStrip 2700 can cut and strip both single- and multiple-conductor wire and nearly all types of insulation materials. It runs at speeds up to 10,800 two-inch pieces per hour. Wire thicknesses can range from 32 to 8 AWG and it can process wire lengths from one inch to a mile and a half long.
The AirStrip 2700 is microprocessor-controlled and can handle up to 1000 programs containing separate piece length, batch quantity, measuring increments and mark spacing combinations. From its console, operators can select and run programs, step the machine though complete cycles and switch from single to multiple action.
In response to international demand, machine instructions can be displayed in any of six languages-English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Swedish. Each machine converts easily from 115 to 230V and from English to metrics. Availability is one week
