VCO: SMV0770A-LF Features Ultra Low Phase Noise in Sub-L Package

Z-Communications, Inc. announces a new RoHS compliant VCO (Voltage-Controlled Oscillator) model SMV0770A-LF in the UHF band. The SMV0770A-LF operates from 750 to 790 MHz within a tuning voltage range of 0 to 2.5 Vdc. This low cost VCO features unmatched phase noise performance of -106 dBc/Hz @ 10 kHz offset and covers the frequency range with an average sensitivity of 44 MHz/V.

The SMV0770A-LF is designed to deliver 1±2 dBm of output power into a 50Ω load while operating over the industrial temperature range of -40 to 85°C. This high performance VCO is further enhanced by saving precious energy. It consumes a minimal 13 mA of current while operating off a 3.0 Vdc supply. The SMV0770A-LF features a typical 2nd harmonic suppression of -10 dBc and comes in Z-Comm’s industry standard SUB-L package measuring 0.3 in. x 0.3 in. x 0.08 in. It is available in tape and reel packaging for production requirements. The SMV0770A-LF is also ideal for automated surface mount assembly and reflow.

The SMV0770A-LF is well suited for mobile communication applications that require exceptional phase noise performance and low power consumption.
