SPACE SAVING UPRIGHT USB A-TYPE RECEPTACLE
NEW FROM KYCON
San Jose, CA? The latest addition to Kycon's line of USB connectors has been especially designed to save PCB real estate. By combining the standard right angle design with the slim-line upright design, the overall footprint has been reduced by 25%, however the width has been reduced by more than 50%, allowing for greater versatility and flexibility on the PC board. This new A-type USB connector from Kycon is intended for high-speed data transfer between stationary computers and peripherals such as printers, scanners and video equipment.
Features include kinked grounding pins for improved PC retention, and indentations at inlet for exceptional mating retention.
The total height of this new USB connector is 13.85mm (0.545"), and the insulator material is made from black or white PBT thermoplastic. The contacts are made from phosphor bronze with gold flash over nickel as standard, and with 50u" over nickel for superior performance.
