Universal Top Jaws

SCHUNK introduces universal hard top jaws. The flexibility of these jaws reduces set-up times and costs, especially for applications with small batch sizes.

With three rows of clamping "blades", the jaw aggressively "bites" into the surface of the work piece.

The flexibility of universal top jaw allows the workpieces to be clamped on the OD or ID. The exchangeable workpiece rest enables the adjustment to different clamping depths with the same set of jaws.

Universal hard top jaws permit the user to cover up to 4 clamping positions as well as bar feeding, with a single set of jaws. A very large clamping range reduces your set-up times and costs working more efficiently.

Compared to clamping with conventional hard jaws, the additional form-fit clamping makes it possible to machine the workpiece with higher cutting performance at lower clamping force.

Universal top jaws are available in five sizes for lathe chuck diameters 165, 210, 250, 315 and 400 mm.
