Ultra Foammix Applicators Improve Performance of Hot Melt Adhesives
DULUTH, Georgia - February 9, 2007 - Ultra FoamMix applicators from Nordson Corporation (Nasdaq-NDSN) mix hot melt adhesive with inert gas to create a homogeneous solution that improves adhesive characteristics. When dispensed the gas expands to create a closed-cell foam beneficial to a wide variety of bonding, sealing, gluing and gasketing applications
In addition to improved production and bonding performance, the foamed material reduces adhesive consumption up to 50 percent. Additionally, there is a dramatic reduction of energy use due to the decrease in the amount of adhesive that needs to be molten.
Performance benefits include: increased open time; faster set times; improved wetting; and lower heat density. These can improve production efficiency as well as the quality of finished goods.
Ultra FoamMix applicators feature advanced controls and pinpoint temperature control that can melt and deliver up to 300 liters/hour of low to medium viscosity foamed material.
