DPG-plus 40 - New Small Sealed 2-Finger Parallel Gripper
SCHUNK Inc. introduces additional sizes of its sealed 2-finger parallel grippers, DPG-plus. The DPG-plus size 40 is designed for the automated handling of small components under extreme environmental conditions. This sealed 2-finger gripper offers protection of IP67 against the penetration of contaminants and is therefore ideally suited to handle rough and dirty workpieces. Even for under-water applications or in environments with abrasive dust, its protection is assured.
The DPG-plus 40 offers serrated guidance for increased moment and longer finger capabilities. The drive concept has been adapted from the known PGN-plus series using an oval piston and a wedge-hook drive for the base jaw. The oval piston which transfers the actuation to the jaws through the proven wedge-hook system generates a considerably higher grip force than a round piston. For the DPG-plus 40, this results in gripping forces of up to 110 N.
A direct air supply is also possible without hoses, and the DPG-plus 40 can be flexibly attached on two sides in three screw-directions.
