Tube and Pipe Beveler Preps Small Bore Heavy Wall Tubes
An upgraded O.D. clamping end prep tool that is ideal for beveling, flat facing, and J-prepping water wall boilers equipped with small bore heavy-well tubes has been introduced by ESCO Tool of Holliston, Massachusetts.
The ESCO C-HOG MILLHOG® O.D. Clamping End Prep Tool features a rugged clamp that mounts onto the outside of a tube, evenly distributing the holding power to assure a chatter-free end prep on small bore heavy-wall tubes. Developed for machining highly alloyed tubes, this tool is only 1-3/4” W to fit tight areas between water wall boiler tubes and has been upgraded with a 1.07 HP pneumatic motor that runs at 130 RPM and produces higher torque.
Ideally suited for use on high-purity piping systems requiring 37-1/2 degree bevels, flat-facing, J-preps, or orbital welding, the ESCO C-HOG MILLHOG® O.D. Clamping End Prep Tool utilizes easy to change clamp sets for prepping tube and pipe from 1/2” to 3” O.D. Equipped with a ratchet feel, it provides over 1” of stroke for smooth operation without requiring cutting oils.
