Scapa Introduces Adhesive Transfer Film for Foam Fabrication and Product Assembly
Windsor, Connecticut - July 17, 2002. Scapa North America has introduced the Unifilm® UF Series of acrylic adhesive transfer films for foam fabrication and product assembly applications. These products provide superior adhesion to a variety of foams and other difficult to bond substrates, and are formulated to offer easy handling and rapid processing.
The high performance acrylic adhesive used in UF series products provides high shear strength and holding power on a variety of foams including melamine, EPDM, and fire-retardant urethanes, as well as low surface energy plastics such as polypropylene and polyethylene. Other appropriate substrates include ABS, aluminum, stainless steel, styrene, polycarbonate, and painted surfaces.
Unifilm UF Series products are available in three thicknesses: 2 mils, 3 mils, and 4 mils. UF Series products are formulated with a smooth, mirror-like adhesive and specially coated moisture resistant liner to provide easy handling and to minimize product waste. The adhesive offers excellent die-cutting and long-term aging properties, as well as good temperature and chemical resistance.
