Wieland Introduces Pluggable Relay for Industrial/Automation Controls
BURGAW, N.C. (August 23, 2002)- Wieland Electric Inc. introduced a new pluggable terminal block relay for industrial and automation controls. Designated the flare MOVE Series, the relays are the thinnest in the industry at 6.2mm thick. The series provides signal isolation and conversion for use with PLCs and remote I/O systems, such as Wieland's ricos I/O for fieldbus line.
"These relays are ideal for quick plug and play connections," said Wieland Electronics Product Manager, Marc Immordino. "Screw clamp wiring provides a robust connection, while 20-pole jumpering provides a quick solution for high volume wiring, and because flare relays are thinner than any other in the industry, more space is available on the DIN rail for the necessary connections."
Wieland's flare MOVE Series relays are available in 12V DC, 24V DC, 110V AC/DC and 230V AC/DC. SPDT contact configurations (form "C") are rated for 250VAC nominal and 400VAC maximum at 6A. Relays have built-in DC polarity protection and standard LED indication.
