New Extruder Features Swing-Arm Controls for Ease of Set-Up and Operation
Talimadge, OH: The latest innovation from Diamond America Corporation, a global manufacturer of thermoplastic extruders, is the Model TL-350 extruder with swing-arm controls.
The swing-arm controls are a major improvement for applications in which it is important for the operator to have the ability to position the controls during set-up. This Swing-arm arrangement permits the operator to work at the die area while also programming the extruder at the same time. When used in co-extrusion applications, the co-extrusion controls are located in the same panel as the main extrusion controls.
The TL-350 model is a 3.5 inch, 30:1 extruder, but models with the swing-arm control feature can be produced in any size extruder.
All Diamond America extruders are equipped with a four bolt swing gate, easy close hopper slide and spill-proof hopper drain. In addition, all extruders employ a heavy-duty front barrel support with bi-directional adjustment for easy barrel alignment. The heavy-duty barrel support also helps reduce barrel deflection which helps reduce both screw and barrel wear.
