Announcing a New Line of Temperature Sensors
General Purpose, Heavy-Duty, and Sanitary Sensors are Available for Respective Application Areas
August 2, 2004, Greenwood, Indiana - Endress+Hauser announces the release of a new line of temperature sensors in the United States, which follows the launch of the iTEMP series line of temperature transmitters that were released last year. The line of temperature sensors complements the iTEMP series of transmitters enhancing their capabilities.
The Temperature Sensors can be classified into three different categories to better suit the specific needs of the customer. The categories are as follows:
1. General Purpose Temperature sensors that are suitable for use in all types of manufacturing operations, HVAC applications, and factory automation.
2. A heavy-duty line of temperature sensors that is specifically designed for the oil and gas, offshore, and petrochemical and power industries.
3. A sanitary line of temperature sensors (with product conforming to 3-A sanitary standards) with associated process fittings that are suitable for clean-in place (CIP) and sterilize-in-place (SIP) environments that are commonly found in food and beverage, pharmaceutical, and biopharmaceutical manufacturing plants.
The product line released for sale includes RTD's, thermocouples, as well as thermowells, and cables and extension wires.
