Application Ready Temperature Solution

Advantech's ADAM-6000

Cincinnati, Ohio - Advantech's ADAM-6000 temperature measurement and control series answers the demand for application-ready optimized solutions while providing high-speed Ethernet communication interfaces.

Advantech's ADAM-6022 dual PID loop control module, ADAM-6015 7-channel RTD input module, and ADAM-6018 8-channel thermocouple input module provide comprehensive temperature measurement and control solutions and include built-in web pages to allow access to the module status through an ordinary browser.

Adopting a fast Ethernet network, these temperature modules support Modbus/TCP, TCP/IP & UDP Ethernet protocols to enable easy system integration and strong communication performance. Built-in web pages permit users to use the pre-built, standard web pages or customize their web pages via Advantech's JAVA Applet example program.

The new ADAM-6022 dual PID loop controller is easily applied to temperature control applications. With PID control algorithm built-in, it provides 2AO, 6AI, 2DO, and 2DI channels combined into one module. Users can configure the control parameters (PV, MV, & SV) and set the operation mode (Auto/Manual/PID Disable) through an easy-to-use software utility. Target markets include building automation and facility temperature control systems.

The new ADAM-6015 7-channel RTD input module accepts a wide range of RTD sensor types, including Pt100, Pt1000, Ni50, Ni508, and Balco 500 series. Multiple RTD types are allowed in one module, creating a cost-effective solution. More importantly, the ADAM-6015 supports open loop diagnostic function, warning operators when the sensor wire is broken. The ADAM-6015 specifically targets building and factory temperature monitoring applications.

The ADAM-6018 8-channel thermocouple input module is the best solution for T/C data acquisition across an Ethernet network. In addition to 8 T/C input channels, the ADAM-6018 is also equipped with 8 digital output channels which can be configured as auxiliary alarm outputs or pure outputs. Last but not least, the ADAM-601 8 comes with an external din-rail terminal board for wiring between the ADAM-6018 module and the field sensor. This special wiring mechanism greatly enhances the accuracy and reliability for thermocouple measurement in environmental and facility monitoring applications.

"This new ADAM-6000 temperature control package has perfectly integrated web I/O and control scheme into a smart web I/O module," said Advantech Marketing Director, Joe Lin. "This offers customers the benefit of total eAutomation through the realization of the sensor-to-Internet I/O model."
