Vishay Intertechnology CZB Series Thick Film Chip Attenuator with Balanced Pi Filter Saves Space, Simplifies Manufacturing
Device Replaces Three or More Discrete Components in Telecom and Mobile Wireless Products
MALVERN, Pa. — Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) today introduced a new surface-mount thick film chip attenuator featuring a balanced pi filter schematic. Offered in a resistor array package, the Vishay Dale CZB can replace three or more discrete devices, reducing board space requirements and simplifying the manufacturing process in telecom and mobile wireless products.
As a single-component solution, the device released today delivers superior tolerance matching and temperature tracking for improved performance in signal attenuation applications. The CZB provides an attenuation range of 1.0 dB to 10.0 dB with an attenuation tolerance down to ± 0.3 dB.
The attenuator features maximum power dissipation of 0.075 W at +70 °C, a frequency range to 3 GHz, and impedance of 50 Ω and 75 Ω. The RoHS-compliant device operates over a temperature range of -55 °C to +150 °C.
Samples and production quantities of the CZB are available now, with lead times nominally of eight to 10 weeks. Pricing for U.S. delivery only starts at $0.098 per piece in medium quantities.
