Easy Close Hopper Slide Eliminates Spills and Reduces Costs
Tallmadge, OH: Diamond America Corporation, a global manufacturer of extruders, screws, barrels and extrusion dies, has introduced its Easy Close Hopper Slide on all of their single screw extruders.
Used to stop the flow of materials to the extruder screw during set-up, change-over or shut-down, the Diamond America hopper slide eliminates the usual spilling of plastic materials onto the floor.
Positioned between the feed throat of the extruder and the hopper, the hopper slide is designed with an auxiliary material channel that directs excess material into the barrel of the extruder rather than onto the floor.
The Easy Close Hopper Slide is standard equipment on all Diamond America single-screw thermoplastic extruders.
