The DR4300 isolated signal conditioner can be supplied with inputs from +/- 50 mV to +/- 256 Volts DC or +/- 0/1 mA to +/- 200 mA. Outputs can be supplied for 0/1 V, 1/5 V, 0/5 V, -5/5 V, 0/10V, -10/10V, 0/1 mA, 0/20 mA, or 4/20 mA. The 21 to 28 VDC powered unit provides 3 way isolation - input to output to power
supply. Isolation is rated at 1500 VAC, 50/60 Hz.
The Isolator is housed in a 3.9H X 4.5D X .49W DIN rail mount case. The unit has plug-in screw terminal blocks. ZERO and SPAN controls are on the front panel.
The Isolator is useful for measuring voltage or current signals with high common mode levels present. Signal isolators are also widely used to break signal grounds to prevent ground loops from inserting extraneous "noise" on the desired signal.
