Smaller Version Now Available for CoroMill 790



Fairlawn, NJ, August 7, 2003 The CoroMill 790 shoulder cutter from Sandvik Coromant, designed for high speed milling of aluminium is now available with 16 mm inserts. Already available with 22 mm inserts, it offers extreme metal removal rates with very high efficiency, and the new .16 mm inserts will allow new applications for the aluminum end mill.

This smaller version of the cutter, designed for machines with moderate spindle power, provides exceptional ramping capability. With this extension, the CoroMill 790 is most effective for roughing to finish ramping and helical interpolation due to the generation of deep straight shoulders with minimal mismatch.
