Omron's New Forcibly-Guided Safety Relay Now Switches 10-AMP Current, Providing Safe Shutdowns for More Applications

SCHAUMBURG, IL (October 13, 2003)-Omron's new forcibly-guided G7S-E safety relay can switch up to 10A of current. The higher rating makes the relay appropriate for a wide range of applications, including direct switching of small motor and solenoid loads. The G7S-E saves valuable controller space while still offering the security of safe equipment operation. Designed for global use, the new relay is tested to EN, UL and CSA standards.

New DIN rail mounting and PCB mounting sockets are also available, rated for 10A current and featuring quick-release holding clamps for easy installation and removal. The new relay offers two pole configurations: 4 N.O. and 2 N.C. or 3 N.O. and 3 N.C. Operate and release times are 50ms, maximum.

The G7S-E relay is ideal for applications where safety is a major concern, in controllers for power presses, injection molding and extruding equipment, conveyor systems, and packaging lines.

The G7S-E safety relay and the 10A-rated sockets are currently available from stock. Relays are available at $45. The P7S-14F-END DIN rail mounting socket is available at $28 and the PCB mounting socket at $6.50.
