Romaco Group at Interpack 2011

Outstanding operating efficiency with low lifecycle costs

Karlsruhe/Germany - At this year's Interpack in Duesseldorf the Romaco Group will be showing an innovative range of new packaging and processing equipment across a wide range of applications. Highly automated handling and assembly solutions offer outstanding overall equipment efficiency along with low lifecycle costs.

Bosspak VTC 80 electronic tablet counter
Romaco will take advantage of the forthcoming event to unveil their latest evolution in electronic tablet counting: the Bosspak VTC 80 vibratory tablet and capsule counter. Several high speed sensors, scanning at 34,000 times per second, automatically trend and adjust the count trigger point during operation. This, together with a unique progressive pre-count feature, offers improved counting accuracy and faster filling speeds. A format-free product feeding system enables rapid line changeover and higher system availability.

Siebler FlexTrans strip packaging line
The new Siebler strip packaging line featuring the robotic Siebler FlexTrans FT 400 transfer system copes easily with quick format changeovers. The robotic connection between the Siebler HM 1/230 heat sealing machine and the intermittent motion cartoner Promatic P 91 enables outstanding efficiency and high process control. Complex strip stacking solutions are a thing of the past, thanks to the FlexTrans infinitely-programmable and fully automatic handling of a wide range of products which provides high operational efficiency and availability.

Noack 930R blister packaging line
Top marks for overall equipment efficiency (OEE) distinguish Romaco's new blister line Noack 930R. The line sets new standards with its robot-controlled direct transfer station QuickTransfer, the servo driven blister station adjustments QuickAdjust and its replaceable product feed unit QuickFeed.

Based on the Noack 900 series design platform, the new blister line is the ideal solution for producing small or medium batch sizes. Extreme flexibility and rapid product changeovers are essential features of this innovative blister packaging concept.

Macofar VF 12 aseptic liquid filling machine
The highest GMP standards for sterile production are fulfilled by Macofar's new VF 12 aseptic liquid filling machine for pharmaceuticals and biotech products into vials. An open RABS (Restricted Access Barrier System) keeps the operators away from the critical areas during operation. The plant's balcony designed structure creates a distinct separation between "white" and "grey" areas. Brushless motor driven peristaltic pumps, a new stoppering system and vertical laminar flow assure maximum sterility throughout the process.

Promatic PC 4250 continuous motion cartoner
Efficient process control and high level ergonomics are the hallmarks of the new continuous motion cartoner Promatic PC 4250. All production steps can be visually monitored owing to frame-free guards and digital position indicators. The ergonomic balcony design with its high capacity carton magazine allows easy and fast access to all machine components. An extremely wide format range comes along with a maximum output of up to 250 cartons per minute.

FrymaKoruma's Frymix II vacuum processing unit
FrymaKoruma's Frymix II vacuum processing unit reflects the very latest advances in sterile manufacturing solutions. The unit's cGMP-compliant design is characterized by an enclosed vessel system with an innovative guide cone. The powerful homogenizer processes suspensions and emulsions for the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries according to the rotor-rotor principle. Thanks to carefully defined energy input, the Frymix II is especially suited for shear-sensitive products.

Interpack will be staged in Duesseldorf, where the Romaco products will be on show from May 12 to 18, 2011 in Hall 16, Booth C13/D04.
