Model 7406 RJ45 A/B Switch Features Both Manual and Remote Switching



M7406 RJ45 A/B Switch with Remote Control Port

Electro Standards Laboratories has just released the new Model 7406 RJ45 A/B Switch with Remote Control Port. This switch allows a single device connected to the COMMON port to access either of two networks connected to ports A and B. Control the switch via front-panel pushbutton or via rear-panel RS-232 serial port. Once the computer is connected to the remote port, any common terminal emulation software may be used to interface with the Model 7406 switch.

The switched RJ45 ports are transparent to data format. Front panel LEDs display switch position and power presence. The Model 7406 retains its current position even in the event of a power failure. This sleek switch fits into a 1U high rackmount configuration.
