Spirol International Introduces Reverse Expansion Insert
DANIELSON, CT - Spirol International Corporation has launched an additional line of expansion inserts intended for strengthening plastic joints. The new brass reverse expansion insert (series 18) has a head and is intended to be used in applications where the bolt enters the insert from the headless end rather than from the headed end. Its head provides a high level pull-through resistance and its diamond knurl provides directional torque resistance for bolt installation. The reverse expansion insert, like Spirol's other expansion inserts, does not require any specialized insertion tools and is intended to be cold pressed into the plastic hole.
With its reverse orientation and head, the Series 18 provides high levels of joint strength in an insert that can be installed by hand in a factory setting or in the field.
SPIROL INTERNATIONAL CORPORATION is a leading manufacturer of a diverse line of engineered fasteners, including coiled and slotted spring pins, solid pins, spacers and other tubular products, as well as threaded inserts,, milled brass nuts, shims, pin and insert installation equipment and vibratory parts feeders.
