Resolution Targets offer positive and negative patterns.

Press Release Summary:

Made of fused silica and reflective chrome, Fluorescent USAF 1951 Resolution Targets calibrate optics of systems that use UV illumination. Positive target has chrome pattern over clear background, with fluorescent material on front surface, while negative target has clear pattern with chrome background and fluorescent material on back surface. Peak absorption and emission wavelengths are 365 nm and 550 nm, respectively.

Edmund Optics Offers Fluorescent USAF Resolution Targets

July 31, 2005, Barrington, NJ. Fluorescent USAF 1951 Resolution Targets are designed for calibrating the optics of systems that use UV illumination, such as fluorescent microscopes, confocal microscopes, and UV-based imaging systems, as well as other instruments used for photolithography, nanotechnology and biomedical applications.

The targets are made of fused silica and reflective chrome. Both positive and negative patterns are available. The positive target has chrome pattern over a clear background, with the fluorescent material on the front surface. The negative target has a clear pattern with chrome background and fluorescent material on the back surface. When UV light illuminates the target, the material fluorescences in the visible. The materials peak absorption and emission wavelengths are 365 nm and 550 nm, respectively.
