Macromatic Controls, LLC Announces New C-Series Current Monitoring Line of Relays

Macromatic Controls, LLC, widely known as an economical producer of custom relay products, has announced the release of a new, C-Series Current Monitoring line of relays. The CM series detects either over-current or undercurrent conditions, the CO series detects over-current conditions, and the CU series detects undercurrent line conditions.

Plug-in versions that monitor between 0.1A and 10A AC are available. An external current transformer can be used to extend the current monitoring range of these products. Other standard features include adjustable pick-up and drop-out settings, time delays on either pick-up or drop-out, 10A SPDT or DPDT outputs utilizing standard 8 or 11 pin sockets, and operating voltages of 24V or 120V AC.

The C-Series Current Monitoring relays carry the label assuring they meet the combined safety requirements of Canada and the United States. These products are also UL listed when used with the appropriate Macromatic socket.

Macromatic tests each product twice before it is shipped and all products have an extensive, five-year warranty period.

Typical specifications include input voltage tolerance for AC of +10/-15% of nominal at 50/60 Hz. These relays are rated for a Load (Burden) of less than 5VA and an operating temperature range of -20º to 150º F. They offer adjustable response times of 0.1 - 10 seconds for pick-up and 100 ms for dropout in over-current mode. For under-current mode pick-up is 100ms and dropout is adjustable 0.1 - 10 seconds. Life expectancy on the C-Series relays is 10 million operations or 100,000 full-load operations.

Macromatic relays are used in both OEM and MRO operations in industries such as machine tool, automotive, material handling, pulp and paper, food and beverage, transportation, communications, water/wastewater and HVAC.

Macromatic designs and manufactures a broad line of phase monitor relays, current monitor relays, voltage monitor relays, time delay relays and alternating relays at their headquarters in Menomonee Falls, WI. Both standard and custom Macromatic products are available through a network of Preferred Macromatic Distributors throughout the US and Canada.
