Lytron Introduces the Third Generation Kodiak(TM) Recirculating Chillers
March 12, 2002, Woburn, MA - Lytron, the Total Thermal Solutions(TM) company, introduces its third generation of Kodiak(TM) recirculating chillers. The new Kodiaks include the following improvements:
- Improved Cooling Capacity - The new unit's cooling capacity was increased by as much as 20% over the capacity of the corresponding second-generation model. This was accomplished by incorporating a higher performing condensing unit in the smallest unit and changed the side panel louver design to increase airflow.
- Increased Flexibility - The new chiller has more programmable features. The standard controller now includes auto restart, an audible fault alarm with a mute button, and a pressure-indicating button, which displays the pump pressure for accurate monitoring.
- Superior Reliability - The new design took an extremely reliable design and improved it by using a longer life refrigeration solenoid valve, simplifying the wiring harnesses, and reducing the number of parts in the chiller.
The smaller capacity unit started shipping in February; other models will be available in April and May. Although the chillers have additional features, Lytron maintained the Kodiak pricing.
