4U Chassis Ideal for Shop Floor

New CyberResearch® RDD 08 4U chassis include an 8" monitor with touchscreen, so they are ideal on the shop floor. The analog-resistive touchscreen makes it easy to enter commands, often eliminating the need for a keyboard. Lockable doors control access to touchscreen, drive bays, and controls.

The RDD 08 series of rack-mount chassis from CyberResearch, Inc. requires only 4U for a complete PC system, including 8" touchscreen, LCD monitor, and 500-W power supply.

Versions with an MXSV motherboard offer five PCI slots, an x8 PCIe slot and an x16 PCIe slot. This motherboard accepts Pentium® 4, Core(TM) 2 Duo, or Core 2 Quad CPUs. It features Intel's Q35 chipset, which supports front-side bus speeds up to 1333 MHz. The six SATA ports can be configured for RAID 0, 1, 5, or 10 arrays. Motherboards with other features can be substituted for the MXSV.

RDD 08 chassis come with a CD-RW/DVD drive and a 320-GB 3.5" SATA HDD. Also included with MXSV versions is 1 GB of DDR2 RAM, upgradeable to 8 GB. The standard operating system is Windows XP, upgradeable to Windows Vista.

In addition to RDD 08 chassis - now shipping from stock from $1000 - CyberResearch, Inc., also offers rugged industrial PCs and monitors, as well as CPU cards, data acquisition, PC accessories, and motion control.
